Rusty v1.04

The Rusty WordPress theme raised up again its version this month, thanks to its brand new widget support. This new feature is working thanks to Stargazer. He is the one who reveals the secret for me. Thanks a lot Stargazer.

I changed again the calendar style, this time just to make some of the colors more contrast. That’s it. Click here to see a preview of the theme or to download it.

It’s a lil bit unreadable, for me..

Stargazer is a guy from Austria, who helped me with the widget support of Rusty WP theme. And the comment you can’t read it’s a post from his own blog.

I really like this version/theme, I would just like to put pictures at the “META” part of the sidebar, and I fail to do it, (means; I have the images made, but I dont know how to make “?php wp_loginout(); ?>” show in image)..

Hi, Valos,

You want to put a background picture in the meta section or you want to make an image button for login/logout functionality?

Hello Martin,

I want to use images for each of the links in the meta section; Register, Login/Logout (I have 2 different ones for that), Siteadmin, Valid XHTML, XFN & WordPress.com (eventually also a small one for your link, so I dont have it in the bottom)

I am currently using version 1.03 of this theme, I was wondering if there is anyway to upgrade without losing all of my modifications (things like ads, changes to the sidebar). Also For some reason the calendar displays in bold and large on my main blog page and the footer had now moved into the sidebar making things look broken. Do you have any idea why this would be?

I have been using Rusty 1.03 but just got the rss feeds fixed. I noticed it wasn’t fixed in 1.04. Or maybe it is a trick, I am kinda new to the wordpress world. Regardless the rss and comments link comes up as “feed:http…” which of course won’t work. But I love Rusty.

Hello Jason,
it might be late for the reply, but this is the solution to your problem: go to the wp-content/themes/rusty folder and open the header file. The file you need to edit is the header.php. Open it with an editor and search for the rss_holder-div and feel free to modify/correct the links there.
